Fantastic Mr. Fox: (Flack’s Review)
Posted on | November 30, 2009 | 1 Comment

This movie is about two foxes. The wife is about to be pregnant. When she gets her son, Ash he feels different than everyone else. When Mr. Fox steals food from the three nastiest farmers on earth it will take him, his family, Kylie (his sidekick), Badger, his nephew Kristofferson and the rest of the animal families to save themselves from Boggis, Bunce, and Bean.
My favorite character is fantastic Mr. Fox because he is funny and he comes up with good ideas to save his family. I like when he says, “Dig” to his family to get away from the farmers.
My favorite part of the movie is when they go the supermarket because it made me hungry. I liked how all the food looked.
I liked the music in the movie because it was like Peter and the Wolf. Each animal had a different instrument. For example you hear the banjo when Mr. Fox comes around.
Listen to the fantastic Fantastic Mr. Fox soundtrack.

I rate this movie PG for action violence, mild language, romance, and moments of conversations about exploding things. This movie is not really scary – it’s more that there are alot of explosions and just some stuff kids would not understand. Some kids may find this movie boring or not very interesting or some of it too adult or violent for them. Not me, I loved it!

This movie is based on the the novel, Fantastic Mr. Fox by Roald Dahl. I like this book alot and recommend reading the book first.
Boggis, Bunce and Bean are the meanest farmers ever. Fantastic Mr. Fox has a plan but is it enough to outsmart the evil Bunce, the wicked Bean, and the mad Boggis??????
My favorite character is Fantastic Mr. Fox because he is fantastic. He is not incredible, he is not perfect but he is fantastic. He makes fantastic plans and saves everyone.
My favorite part is when Fantastic Mr. Fox, Kylie, and Ash set out to rescue Kristofferson while dodging an ambush led by the farmers.
The Boggis, Bunce and Bean song is hilarious! Listen to it here.

From the New York Times: Unleashing Life’s Wild Things

This article from Sunday’s New York Times is about kid’s movies that are kind of scary and may be good for adults as well. The movies they talk about are The Wizard of Oz, Edward Scissorhands, Coraline, Where the Wild Things, Tim Burton’s upcoming Alice in Wonderland and Fantastic Mr. Fox.

I like this article beacuse it talks about some of the movies that I like and I have seen. I have not yet seen Edward Scissorhands, Fantastic Mr. Fox, or Alice in Wonderland.
Ghostbusters (Flack’s Review)
Posted on | November 10, 2009 | 1 Comment
The movie is about three people who work together and fight ghosts in New York City. And as they get more famous and face bigger ghosts, they get a new Ghostbuster to help them. The city is about to be destroyed when a business person (Dr. Peck) sets free all the ghosts and they attack the city. Dr. Peck wants Dr. Venkman arrested. Now it’s up to the Ghostbusters to save the city.

My favorite part of the movie is when the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man comes because I think it is funny a big marshmallow person comes to attack the Ghostbusters.
My favorite character is Dr. Raymond Stantz, played by Dan Aykroyd because he is a funny Ghostbuster. I think it is funny when he picks the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man to destroy them.
TRIVIA: There will be a Ghostbusters 3 movie in 2012.

Posted on | November 4, 2009 | 5 Comments

This movie is about Remy, a rat who wants to be a chef but he’s a rat. When he gets separated from the rat colony and finds out he’s in Paris he gets a chance to cook.
My favorite part in the movie is when all the rats cook together because I like how they organize into different groups so they can work together to make “Ratatouille” and save the restaurant.
My Favorite character is the the rat Emile, Remy’s brother and friend. I like Emile because I think he’s funny and sometimes helps Remy. Emile is funny when he eats.

I think this movie is for kids, ages 14 + up because there is profanity thoughout (it is not mild). I got to see this movie because my dad did not remember all of the parts in the movie and he slept through some of the movie. I encourage people to see this movie if they like sci-fi and comedy and don’t get scared easily. There is profanity throughout so ask your parents first and hope they say yes.

PIXAR’s Wall-E (Flack’s Review)
Posted on | November 2, 2009 | 3 Comments
A robot named Wall-E is on earth cleaning up all the trash the humans had left behind when they went to go to space. Then a robot named Eve comes and takes Wall-E to space on her rocket to the a ship called the Axiom. Wall-E finds humans floating in chairs. The captain of the ship and the people floating in chairs want to go back to earth. It’s up to Wall-E, Eve, M-O, the captain and John and Mary to help everyone return to Earth.

My faviorte part is when Wall-E is on Eve’s spaceship because I like the blue things of glowing light above him.
My favorite character is Wall-E. I like Wall-E because I like his collection in his house of things he finds in the trash and brings back to his house.
