Kit Kittredge: (Dylan’s Review)
Posted on | December 28, 2009 | 1 Comment

This movie is about a girl, Kit Kittredge who wants to be a reporter for the Cincinnati Register newspaper. But when the editor decides not to publish her first story she is not happy. Her dad must leave to go to Chicago to find a job. Lots of things happen that are not good. Now people move into her house as boarders (my mommy knows that word not me) because her family does not have a lot of money. Now people are getting kicked and robbed. So Kit, one of the new people who moved in, Stirling, and her friend Ruth must unravel the mystery.
My favorite character is Stirling because I think it is funny when he faints in the club house and after Kit asks Ruth and Stirling if they will be her reporter assistants, he says “Do we get paid?” to Kit and she says “No.” and then he says “Alright.”
My favorite part is when the librarian, the magician and the guy with the monkey try to chase Kit, Ruth and Stirling because I think it is funny when guy with the monkey falls down on the tree roots and can’t catch up with the magician (guy who levitates people) and the librarian (girl who drives a book mobile).

Jumanji (Dylan’s Review)
Posted on | December 28, 2009 | 2 Comments
Are you game?
Based on the book, Jumanji by Chris Van Allsburg

This movie is about a boy named Alan who finds a game. When his parents leave the house his friend comes over and together they play the game. Bats attack his friend Sarah and the boy gets sucked into the jungle until the dice rolls 5 or 8. Twenty five years later, a boy and a girl, Judy and Peter find the magical game. Peter rolls 5 and Alan comes back now a man. He, Peter, and Judy find Sarah at her house. Together the four play the adventure game together. They encounter animals like lions and monkeys and a mysterious poisonous flower and other dangers like a monsoon and a hunter, Van Pelt.
My favorite character is Alan Parrish because sometimes he is funny like when he shaves. And I think he is adventurous.
My favorite part is when Van Pelt shoots his gun but Alan rolls the dice and gets to Jumanji, the last square on the board before the bullet hits him.

Star Wars The Clone Wars TV Show: Tresspass (Dylan’s Review)

Episode 15: Trespass
Moral: Arrogance diminishes wisdom.

This Clone Wars episode is about Jedi generals’ Obi Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker who land on the planet Orto Plutonia in search of missing clones. They find Chairman Cho and Senator Chuchi, the Senator believes the Republic who say not to harm the species of the other creatures who live on the planet or they will harm you back but Cho does not believe this. He says “Listen hear you savage this world belongs to the moon of Pantora.” A battle begins and the Jedi must save the Chairman.
My favorite character is Anakin because I think he believes the right thing.
My favorite part is when Anakin and Obi Wan go to see the Talz, the species of aliens living on Orot Plutonia because I like when Anakin draws a picture of peace.

Howl’s Moving Castle (Dylan’s Review)
Posted on | December 9, 2009 | 6 Comments

This movie is about a girl, Sophie but when the evil Witch of the Waste turns her to a 90 year old lady, she find’s Howl and his castle. She must break her spell and survive her adventure with her friends, Markl, Keen, Turnip Head, and Howl and perhaps of the Witch of the Waste!
My favorite character is Howl because he is magical. I also like when he can turn into a bird and he has a funny line. He says, “I see no point in living if I can’t be beautiful”. I think this is funny because it is ridiculous to be upset about your hair color.
My favorite part is when Howl saves Sophie from the battleships because it is fantastic, stupendous music and terrific, phenomenal action.
