Singin’ in the Rain :: Flack’s Review
Posted on | November 2, 2010 | 2 Comments
Rating: 5 movie reels
This movie is about Lina Lamont and Don Lockwood who are famous silent action movie stars. When the sound movies (the talkies) come, they of course have to make one. The problem is that Lina’s voice is squeaky and everyone laughs at her. So Don and his silly friend, Cosmo and the lady he is in love with, Kathy Seldon, must come up with a way to make the movie work.
The good and bad things: There is romance but that’s part of the story. If you do not like musicals you will not like this movie but if you do it may be your favorite movie ever. I do like musicals and this is one of the best musicals I have ever seen. It’s also very funny and there’s a tiny bit of action when they film the movies. The thing that makes the movie so good are of course the songs and the dancing because they are catchy, fun and funny.
My favorite scenes are all musical numbers. They are not in the order of how good they are. My favorite scenes are “Make ‘em Laugh” because it’s hilarious, “Moses Supposes” because it is funny and just great, and “Singin’ in the Rain” which is probably the best because it’s catchy, fun, and the best song of the movie.
My two favorite characters are Cosmo, because he is funny, and Don because I like when he sings and dances.
Rated G
I rate it G also. There is nothing inappropriate.
Batch Blue iPhone Commercial by Flick and Flack

We made a commercial for Batch Blue’s new iPhone App with some of the Batch Blue staff, Michelle Riggen Ransom, Alex Taylor, and Eric Krausse and with some help from our mom and dad. We had fun storyboarding, filming, acting, directing and helping with the editing. It was fun and tricky. We hope you like it as much we had fun doing it.
See our interview with Michelle Riggen Ransom at Mad Ernie’s here.

Rating: 4.2 movie reels.
The fifth installment of the Harry Potter saga is an epic battle between good and evil. Harry Potter is having dreams about a long black corridor with a door at the end of it. After being attacked by dementors, a band of aurors show up and take Harry away from the Dursley’s. He finds out that there is a mysterious army created by Albus Dumbledore. The order includes a number of allies Harry has met over the years. After that Harry is taken to Hogwarts where things are never what they seem; with an evil Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, mysterious dreams and Harry’s own army with students from Hogwarts.
David Yates is the new director for the Harry Potter saga. The movie starts out slow but soon kicks into gear. Daniel Radcliff, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson all give excellent performances. Ralph Fiennes, Imelda Staunton, and Alan Rickman also give excellent performances.
This movie is based on the novel written by J.K. Rowling and is a must read before watching the film.
My favorite character is Harry Potter because I like when he battles Voldemort.
My favorite scene is the battle at the end with Voldemort and the death eaters because the special effects are so well put together and the keep they scene going.
